Monday, February 28, 2005 I've never been afraid of the 'O' levels results until today. HONEST! Even so, I think I'll still be able to sleep tonight 'cause I'm so shagged. My form today sucks, when I'm playing soccer that is. I can't seem to be able to have the confidence to put the ball in the back of the net and shrug off opponents. It's really not the real me today on the playing field. Anyway, back to the'O's issue, the clock seems to be ticking as if death is calling me out. I'm hanging onto my dear life this time. Hope my prayers will be answered in time. Somehow, I feel that it's during times of uncertainty that people become more pious. But when everything's back to normal, you can see the devil's horns emerging from them. Looks like the angels have to be on gear 4 today. All the best my friends! Friday, February 11, 2005 Great to meet my former band mates when i went back to school just now. It was nice to see some familiar faces in the school and not forgetting my fellow teachers. Well, we only met Mrs Lena Tan, Mr Shan, Mr Fam and Ms June Peng. I briefly met Cikgu and Ms Ng though. But w where the hell is the all-time favourite PE teacher Mr Lee and not forgetting the ever-lenghty Ms Lo? Maybe there's a blessing in disguise that I didn't get to see them. Anyway, it was just our luck that they're having this rationing stuff today. Shucks, the canteen was close. I was hoping to grab a bite in school! Ended up crapping in the staff room with Kenneth making all of us damn worried about our results when he started relinquishing about his future prospects, should he fail his Maths. Jia Hong, was at his usual self, crapping about his friend whom he called Steven and his army stories. Mosquitoes and Brunei jungle, well almost everything about NS. oh great..school now ends at 12.15 on fridays and they having longer recess time i suppose. These things always happen after i graduate. same thing happened when i graduated from primary 6 too. feel like being stabbed in the back. Mdm tan and ms mok don't dare to look at me in the eye, haha! i wonder how long they're gonna wait till they give us our SYF photos. yup, they are still not in our hands. Damn it man. i really wonder what you teachers are doing. given the authority but lack the commintment to take control of the responsibilities dished out. wait and wait and wait. wait till the previous batch get their degree before you give us what's ours, alright? some things just doesn't change with the time... oh well, we parted ways after the brief visit. had a good time stepping on the turf that i last place my feet on before i took my O levels. now, it'll be the same place where i'll take my results. i'm really praying hard that it'll be in my favour. i've done my part.. -high hopes, low expectations Monday, February 07, 2005 I'm officially out of work now, haha! After 2 gruelling months toiling under the guidance of my two caring and understanding bosses, I'm proud to say that I've gained experiences which I could possibly not get by reading textbooks and so on. All those accounts stuff that I've got my hands on and dealing with so-called 'white-collar' people have really opened my eyes to the working world that's calling me out there. Sure, it was taxing. No doubt it was worse than I've expected but once reality sets in, I soon realise that only hard work and perseverence will carry you far in the business arena which is full of hypocrites, backstabbers and demanding characters. Everyone needs to start from the bottom of the corporate ladder to get a taste of what it's like being an employer and thus carry on his journey to greater heights from there. I was lucky. I had close relationships with my former bosses. They treated everyone equally with utmost respect. Looks like I've yet to see the worse of the working world. Give me the sucker punch which will most probably open my eyes even wider than ever. Thanks guys for showing me the right way foward and correcting my mistakes all these while. Until then, I will strive to work hard to get to the highest stage possible in the education world. For the world is ever changing and that we should also adapt to it so as not to be left alone in the dark. Friday, February 04, 2005 Hey, anyone out there can fulfil these wishes of mine? I know this is not a desperate plea for help but neither is it a laughing matter. Out of the blue, my heart is craving for some stuffs that I never thought will be mine...
I know I sound so desperate but I'm pretty sure I'm not THAT evil 'cause I stopped listing at No. 5. You wanna hear something desperate? Try the Singapore Poly lecturers' plea for you to come down to SP this coming Saturday (05/02/05)..just 'cause, you know it-Taufik Batisah, is coming down to SP to tell about his life..during his time in SP of course. They started off by giving out vouchers for every question that's answered correctly. And after squeezing thier brain juices, their last and final question was.."When will Taufik be coming down to SP? (Audience answers-"TOMORROW!") "Oh ok, you got it right! Councillors, please give the vouchers to that lady over there and the gentleman over here." Basically, everyone answer the question correctly. I didn't know their lecturers were lame too. Fret not, one bad cook doesn't make the whole kitchen bad. So, there might be a possiblity that the other lecturers were not as lame as the one i met. He's from the SCHOOL OF BUSINESS, anyway...get a life people! |
