I had a couple of enjoyable moments today including having only 2 hours of sleep so far, getting burnt under the glaring sun though being soaked in the cool waters and relinquishing the prospects of my future PC. Yet, the most unforgettable moment happened just a few hours ago when I was in bus 88 heading back home. It broke down halfway through the journey and I was to alight at the stop after the one which the bus broke down at. Call it unlucky but I found it a rather humourous experience.

This is what i call unlucky:I was given a complimentary ticket which enables me to have a free trip. As I mentioned earlier, my final stop was only a stop away from the stop which the bus had broken down. So, I ended up walking back home. That suits me fine. What made me nearly fume up is that the ticket is only applicable for today's usage. So home was my final destination, I've got nowhere else to go. And I'm left with $0.22 in my EZ-Link card. Ultimately, I "lost" the value of my card and didn't get to make use of the complimentary ticket. I intended to use it for tomorrow, when I have to go to the MRT station to top-up my card. But, the ticket expires today. And I didn't get the chance to refund my card value. Sigh. Just my luck.

But I found many sides of typical Singaporeans when I encountered this incident just now. Enjoy the different sides the nation and maybe yours in some of the "samples" below.

A tired lady from work:"Tch... (10 seconds later) Tch... (7 seconds later) Tch... (4 seconds later) Tch...
-She's the first, from the upper deck, to leave the bus eventually, leaving a strong lingering scent of her perfume in her trail.

A talk-a-lot-do-nothing passenger:
"Eh, what happened ah? The bus tyre pancit ah? Very hot leh...no air-con some more. I pay so much get this kind of service. I late already you know! Haiya, useless SBS. Company so big yet the service so small. So ngiau...
-I've got no comment from this type of people. I ended up smiling to myself.

A student just came back from school, i presume: "......................................................................."
-He was so engrossed in watching the programme on TV Mobile that he didn't realise that he's been at the same bus stop since the last ten minutes.

A vain human being, who no doubt is a she:
"....................................................................."
-She was speechless 'cause she's being a good listener to her beloved mp3 while powdering herself up, which inevitably made the quality of the air worse. Shucks!

Me? Well...I was literally the last person to alight from the bus, busy with my observations and my thoughts of writing this experience in my blog today. Was I a kaypo? Who cares? I guess nobody notice my presence anyway. Maybe nobody except two people who are so "busy" at the back seats, taking advantage of the whole situation, that when they finally realise that the bus had broken down, it seemed as if they've just came out from a hot desert.

Who says the Government isn't helping in increasing the birth rate in Singapore?
