Mrs Goh: Fitri, i'm really sorry but i think you've got to see this face of mine again next semester. i know it's hard to believe but it's true.
Me: What!!! NO!!! please tell me that you're lying, Mrs Goh. please, i beg you.
Mrs Goh: Which part of me do you wish not to see again?
Me: Can I say it's everything?
Mrs Goh: Sorry? i can't hear you.
Me: Oh, nothing. it's better if you can't hear me.

that was what i presume my dream will be tonight. i hope it won't come true, in my dreamland and reality too. for your own personal interest, my last 2 pages of the ITB test paper was literally blank. stupid 'HLOOKUP' function. i kept on trying and trying, i swear there was only 2 columns in the 'Lookup Table', as far as my eyes are concerned. and there i was spending a rather fruitless 20 minutes or so figuring out where the hell i went wrong.

at the end of the test, i turned to xiaolin asking her if she managed to do the 'HLOOKUP' function. SHE SAID "YES"! AN ASTOUNDING "YES"! holey shit! how did she do that?

"oh, there are actually 3 columns. 2 of them are merged. ya," she answered me straight at my face in her usual animatic manner.

3 columns, huh. 2 of them merged. NO WONDER I FOUND MYSELF LIKE A DUMB ASS STONING IN FRONT OF MY COMPUTER DOING NOTHING FOR ALMOST 20 MINUTES! all the following questions were related to this question that i was stuck at. bottomline is: if i couldn't answer this question that i was stuck at, i can forget about the other questions. 'cause they are all related. stupid i should say. whoever that line fits best to.

for the benefit of those who are clueless about what i'm talking about, here's a helpful hint. i'm talking in Excel language. yes, that darn EXCEL that holds the capability to make me weep and cry or jump for joy when i receive my grades for this ITB module that i'm taking now. thanks Mr. Bill Gates for inventing this programme. oh how i really appreciate your kind help.

the misery didn't last long as i downed it together with the food that i ate with my other 6 friends at City Hall's Sakae Sushi. despite it's presence all these years, this was my first time dining at this restaurant. lately i've been a little bit adventurous. i've been to Thai Express and now Sakae Sushi. I've been wanting to try Marche and Cafe Cartel and Mos Burger. the thing is, all these restaurants don't bear the 'HALAL' certificate.

well, i'm not pretty particular about this issue. i just feel that when i happen to dine at these places, i just need to choose my food carefully. that's all right? but of course i wouldn't have chosen these places for my everyday meals. such a pity that i can't enjoy these fine dining. perhaps if i could, i would have been broke by now. and you might be seeing me busking along Orchard Road frequently should that become a reality.

back to Sakae Sushi, sorry for the little digressing. my first time eating sushi and it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be! i've always imagined sushi as a 'yucky, yuck, yucks' food but today's experience changed my perception. of course, i was lucky to have been introduced to types of sushi of my liking. or else i would have been 'sushi-phobic' after my first bite.

"chomp. chomp. chomp." typical Singaporeans lah. knowing that it's a buffet style, we tried almost every plate available on the conveyor belt. $13, mind you! gotta take advantage of that! (Joannah, remind me to repay you back alright!) then a familiar voice came to disrupt my gluttony that was in rapid progress.

"Eh, you all can order anything from the menu that costs $1.90, leh. then you still have 1 small ice-cream each and 2 servings of fruits!" darn that Elf.

such bad friends i have! haha! after filling my tummy to half full, only then did they tell me that piece of good news! i could have ordered more sushis but i thought i would get sick of it. Udons (Japanese noodle) was also a no-no for me. It's doesn't appeal much to me. So i went with the side orders. Some were fantastic, others were pathetic.

The 'Potato Croquette' and 'Tako Yaki' were my personal favourite! one word to describe them,"YUMMY!" now, there's this another dish that i tried. it's called 'Kani Tempura'. it certainly sounds nice and tempting but it was the only food that i can classify it as 'pathetic'. it was just two pieces of crabstick, dabbed with flour i suppose, and fried before being served with a drop of mayo. 'Kani Tempura'- though i don't know Japanese that well, i can assume that 'Kani' here means pathetic. 'cause it really was. "Pathetic Tempura"-don't forget to order it the next time you go to Sakae Sushi.

the creme of the crop was really left to the last, and no it wasn't the least. it was a surprise to me that the ice-cream left a very good impression of Sakae Sushi instead of the Japanese food, till this very moment! maybe i'm not used to 'outside' food yet and that the ice-cream brought me back to Earth, where i truly belong. I was forced to be contented with the 'Chocolate' flavour thought I wanted 'Cookies Dough Chip'. It was out-of-stock apparently. Darn. but the 'Chocolate' wasn't that bad after all! i simply love indulging in ice-creams...

so here i am, nursing my oversized tummy. i'm going to the doctor tomorrow to do an x-ray of it. hopefully nothing's wrong. Sitze's abs were gone after today, as if they have entered the 'Bermuda's Triangle'. Mine is still there, I think... and i hope so. Thanks to you guys, Mich, Joannah, Poh Ying, Alvin, Elf and Sitze, for bringing widening my horizon in the food and beverages industry. Thanks to you guys also for making me out of shape.

I'm currently very willing to model for any slimming centres. any takers? must provide me with your treatments and such for free till i get back my old self. that's all i ask for. one sentence. a lot meh?

(Mich said this outlet wasn't the best. There's no computer to place the orders. Bet those who have went into Sakae Sushi before will be bored to death. You'll be going, "Like DUH!", "What else do you expect in there!" but hey, everyone has a 'first' time. and i dare say you were along my line when you first experience Sakae Sushi. Haha! i'm such a darn 'crack in the butt'.

And farewell, Ms Hui. she's going off soon, mid-October i heard? oh darn... who's gonna be 1A03's new PTN? please don't let my worst nightmares come true. Please don't let it be Wenda Leong. now i'm gonna miss Ms Hui, despite all the sins that i've committed towards her. MS HUI!!! please, come back! i seek your forgiveness!)
