Yesterday I chiong-ed my News Writing assignment. Chiong until 4 am. For the first time ever, I have 8 people from my class all online when the clock striked 3 am. I guess we were all heading for the same goal. In the end, i decided it was enough. Too much already lah!!! I fell dead on my bed at 4.30 am. 4.30 am, for goodness sake! and before that I even harboured hopes of going all the way to 5am onwards. What bullshit was I thinking? My mind wasn't even working properly!

and then... the butterfly effect occured. I was late for the dance practice. Sorry Leo, sorry Jon, sorry Val, sorry Peishan. I woke up at 10 am when we are supposed to meet at that time itself! Holy shit, I have to chiong once more! 2 hours late and luckily, I managed to catch the dance steps. But it's still not perfect just yet. I just hope I won't cock up tomorrow.

f.y.i., chiong-ing is not good for health. and some food for thought today- better to be late than never. (sounds like an excuse, eh? haha!)

I just need rest. My body's falling apart...

Can somebody scrap the e-learning week away? No doubt you can have ample rest, you need not go to school. But sometimes, you just need the lecturer more than a computer, which can do almost anything but answer your deepest queries!!! The whole system is just fucking screwed up!

Traffic flow problems, congesttion, so much so that I only enter the 'Blackboard' after midnight. Computers hung out of nowhere, wasting pr
ecious time e.g. waiting for the page to load up only to see an an 'Error' page. What the fuck!!!

Do you know that the school computer facilities are almost full-house everyday because there are people who doesn't own computers? And even for those who do, their computers can't even access the system? And people meet up in school to discuss their assignments, which are supposed to be done online! Wouldn't we be better off having school instead? Sheesh...

I bought LIME magazine just now and guess what? They have a polytechnic's guide. And guess what again? If I was a post O-level student, I wouldn't be interested in SP at all.

NP seems so much livelier! Plus, they can buy laptops on a 2-year installment, interest-free! TP incorporates 'radio' into their Mass Comm diploma, I've always wanted to go into there! NYP is so much more nearer to my house! Now I have to spend 2 hours every schooling day, smelling SMRT's trains and SBS's buses. Shucks!

SP looks kinda un-teenager. You know... not hip, not cool, not happening. SP's like a traditional mum, focuses more on study. Nerds! Geeks! Study! Work! No play! After get diploma then can play!

But the ironic thing is, I'm in a CCA that's suppose to promote SP. Or so they say. And no matter what, I have to be thankful that SP accepted me 'cause I got a B4 for my English in my 'O's. and SP's Mass Comm was the only one among the others that accepted my kinda grades. But still....

Anyway LIME had a mini-calendar that comes with it and I spotted this beauty...

Well, I was referring to the watch anyway. Jessica Alba was just a coincedence. =p But she's HOT right?!?!? And the watch's sweet and nice too!

Check out Swatch's latest range of watches! I love Swatch watch!

Anyone kind enough, rich enough to buy me another one? I'd prefer the one in the middle, with red face and brown, leather straps. =)

But ain't I suppose to be wanting a Fossil watch instead? Hmmm...

I got a pants from B.U.M. that was slashed 50% down from its original price!
Shiok ah! I still haven't use my 20% and 15% ADIDAS voucher, courtesy of my classmate of course. Haha! And I just fell in love with Bugis Village/Street! They have lotsa nicey nice, cheapsy cheap clothes! Aaaahhh!!! I'm spoilt for choice!

I'm shagged for now. Save the last dance for me...

I've been as busy as a bee these days, especially this week. The 'last week of the holidays', as it reads.

spac2go's 10th anniversary, the mass dance practice, the soccer match for CSCC... yada yada yada... plus, I have deadlines staring back at me every second of the day. News Writing's interview and media audit, Web Publishing's designing of webpages, IDEAS model...

STOP!!!!!

Can someone give me a break here? Sure I wake up at 10am almost everyday but consider the time I sleep every night! 3am nowadays! Holy cow! My body's tired, so is my mind. But I suppose this is just the beginning, there's even more to come. Especially in the last term, where only 6 weeks exists in it.

I guess there's where all the presentations take place, where projects are due and have to be submitted, where tests are aplenty and where the final exams once again haunt my thoughts. Sheesh...

We shall backtrack a bit here... and digress too.

Last few days I was at Marina Square, catching 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The... "with my friends and oh boy, how I enjoyed myself. The movie was nearly a spoiler for me though.

Pardon me for saying this but Narnia... sucks.

Well, actually the place doesn't. But the movie actually does. Perhaps I overlooked the positives of the movie. But I think by the time I realised they have reached me, I already had enough of the negatives that I have a bad impression of the movie itself.

I actually felt like taking a nap during the movie but I had to justify my seven bucks for watching the movie. Thus, my eyes were kept wide open. Yet, I have to admit that I was struggling to do so as the plot was draggy. Save for the bevers, who made the movie livelier with their cute and adorable antics, the other characters simply failed up live up to their expectations!!!

I'm pretty disappointed with The Chronicles of Narnia! You can feel it right? I don't know if there's something wrong with me or my friends. They cried during the movie , when I can actually laugh or rather remain emotionless most of the times.

I was kinda pretty shocked when I hear sobbings from my friends in the row behind mine! I mean, I know it's the touching part of the movie but hey! It didn't manage to move me even a little bit! Am I turning into a cold-hearted creature here?

This is Susan, supposedly an archer, a sharp-shooter if you prefer it to be that way. But all she did with her set of bow and arrows was: 1) miss the bull's eye in a shooting practice and 2) shoot ONE bad guy when the war is all but over. Realistic? I don't think so. Disappointing? More like it...

I shan't elaborate more on it for I don't wanna spoil the fun for those who hadn't watch it. Here's my 20-cents worth of opinion: 3 out of 5 popcorns (By right, I would have given it 2.5 out of 5 but since they made an effort to make special effects and stuff I gave them a 3 instead.)

For two and a half hours of Narnia isn't even equal to an hour of King Kong. Need I say more?

But! But! But! I prefer to look at the bright side of the movies! Let's drool over what's 'Coming Soon' to our theatres in the year 2006...

Memoirs of Geisha

I don't mean to scare you with this picture here... really. Okay, this movie may be overhyped but I'm really curious about geishas. All the talk about them being high-class prostitutes and such.. I guess that sparks my interest for this movie.

Mission Impossible III

You watched the first one? How about the second one? Now how can you miss the third one? Critics say this time, it's more realistic, more atas, more uber cool. I don't know what's the message that they're trying to convey here but what I know is that this time, MI:3 means business.

X Men III

If you tell me you prefer Powerpuff Girls over them, then you're obviously lying. Look out for Gambit, the cool and mysterious guy who throws poker cards. This time, he isn't playing as a 'gambler', but rather a 'hero'.

The Da Vinci Code

And this is for you, Dan Brown freaks. I've watched the trailer, it freakingly follows exactly like the book. I hope the impact is the same. Furthermore, I suppose visual, actions and sounds adds more spice to visual alone right? I just can't wait for this movie to be out. Anyone up to make 'Angels and Demons'? Can you do one, Mr. Peter Jackson?

And not forgetting 'Pirates of the Carribean 2'. I forgot what's the real title of the movie. Gosh, I better get moving on my news writing. It's due today at 5 pm and I'm still here. Sigh. I just wanna rest.

You know of the song, or if you prefer it to be a saying, "All I want for Christmas is you"? I think if you're NOT an an orphan or a heartbroken lad or a loner or someone who has lost a loved one recently or...

You get the point.

... then don't swear by this phrase, can? 'cause I think it's bullshit. It's equivalent to "Looks doesn't matter, it's the heart that matters the most. If your partner goes to you and say, "Dear, all I want for Christmas is you..." there's only two possibility.

1) Your partner really WANT YOU, especially to accompany him/her through the night with you-know-what.

2) Your partner is HINTING to you that he/ she is expecting something great from you. That's in terms of the presents.

But trust me, usually you'll end up with both. 'cause when she (usually it's a 'she', though I have nothing against the female community) shows you the 'puppy face', together with those magical words, you'll die for anything that will satisfy your heart. And after which you jolly well know that you'll get your reward sooner or later. Unless she plays hard-to-get lah.

You know what I want for Christmas? For Singapore to go up the standings in DUREX's 'Frequency of sex' survey.

We are almost lciking the foot of the table, mind you! 79 times a year compared to the French who fucked 137 times per annum!!! HOLY SHIT! We're said to be 'sexually inactive'! Talk about a negative connotation here! I'm pretty surprised that Japan's the last considering the hype over the girls over there.

But, with that NOT being the main point here, how I wish I really do celebrate Christmas. Because for me, all I want for Christmas is...

1) A digicam
Maybe not of this line. I'm not used to overlooking digicam's technical specifications just yet as I have, maybe, with mp3s.

2) An electronic drumset

I've always wanted this. The spirit of drumming will forever be in me. Just wondering where can I stuff it my my puny, little HDB apartment. It can be my new stress-buster too. See, Mum... I told ya it's gonna be of a good use.

3) An acoustic guitar

An IBANEZ one can? Guess I can be a busker next time round should Singapore hit a recession. At least it's better than the oldest job ever- prostitution.

4) An XBOX 360

I'll pass PS3. It's just way too bulky. And I think this baby here satisfies me better in terms of her graphics and sounds. I know that sounds kinda... wrong.

Who does want gizmos? Techies? Gadgets? Tell me...

I whack that person left, right, upside down. Worse still if he/ she says "All I want for Christmas is you". I'll call my gang come down and beat up up like minced up. You just watch out.

But considering the Christmas spirit, I've decided to be a good Samatarian. I
ll spare you till Boxing Day. Then you will have no reason not to get beaten up by me.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

p.s. I have a Christmas present for you, Santa! If you're in need of a massage, you can try OSIM's iSqueeze, U-Zap and iPamper at various shopping centres around Singapore. For Free!!! I saw the aunties and uncles trying them and I swear they look as if they had an orgasm really look like they're enjoying themselves!

To travel from East Coast Park to Esplanade and back seems alright to me, but to CYCLE that distance is equivalent to a sore butt for me!!! And worse of all, I have to allow my butt to recover naturally. So imagine the pain that I have to endure everytime I do something that involved my butt in participation. Ouch!

Okay lah, perhaps that's too much of a exaggeration but you got my point. My legs didn't fail me but surprisingly my butt did. I kept standing while riding and changing the position of my butt on my bike seat every now and then. I think if you see me from my back view, I must have qualified as an idiot who doesn't know how to sit. You're supposed to sit on the bike, remember?

Oh how fun it is to ride in a $1.60/hr bicycle.

We had the bikes for 5 hours and and for that rate, isn't it damn cheap! Haha! Thanks to Elf who knows the lady boss of one of the shops there, of course. Initially we planned to go all the way to Orchard but being considerate to Mich and Wan Tong, we had to scrape the plan. But it's already great to conquer such a distance. Perhaps one fine day, we will be able to head for Orchard together.

And for those who thinks Singapore is just too small, that's 'cause you travelled way too often on the MRT trains, buses and cabs. Try the bicycle of a change. I discovered places and sceneries that my eyes have never laid on before. Yes, 'discovered' is the word of my choice. As if I haven't been to almost every part of this island.

After which comes our moments of childishness by paying the good 'ol playground a visit and without knowing, scaring the small children away! Mean. That's just mean. But hey it's a public property right? But instead of making full use of the state-of-the-art facilities, we only occupied the 'hanging bridge' area.

There we practise massaging skills, under the tutelage of Poh Ying. It's there where I hereby admit that Wan Tong needs to be 'tougher' especially when massaging is concerned, where Poh Ying is the queen of massaging, where Mich has the most flexible body among us all, where Khee Hoon found her long lost friend- the slide, where Elf... is still Elf.

ECP has got lots of characters: Beach babes, cute and hunky guys, cute toddlers, romantic couples, girl-next-doors, look-like-ah-beng-but-actually-quite-nice-one people and many many more! Like as if you don't know like that! I swear I'll put ECP as in a spot waaaayyy higher than Orchard Road in my list of 'The Bestest Best Places of all Places in Singapore, yes Singapore'

Word of the day? 'FUN'. That generally sums everything up that I went through today.

And I think the next SPAC2GO president should be Me.

NOT!

Finally... I got hold of MY VERY OWN MP3PLAYER!!!

It's a pretty long wait actually. My patience and endurance has finally paid off. All thanks to my mum, of course. Oh how I treasure her so much right now. Thanks mum. But of course, things didn't start as planned...

My destination: Funan IT Mall. I wanted a 512MB player in the first place. Thus, I opted for the Zen Nano Plus (ZNP). But the first shop I went to doesn't have a 512MB ZNP. Sad...

"It's out-of-stock," the salesperson told me.

Okay, fine. Let's move on then. Up one level and there I was in front of yet another shop.

"A 512MB ZNP, do you happen to have it?" I asked.

"Oh yes! But we only have lime green in colour," went the guy to attend to me.

Yucks. I don't like that colour. And I can't was trying my best not to get the 1GB ones 'cause they're above $200. I was trying...

A few moments later, I found myself back at the first shop that I stepped into ever since I was in Funan IT Mall. This time round, the same salesperson approached me and pointed out the 512MB Zen Neeon. For once, my heart jumped for joy- it was under $200 and is a 512MB player!

But.. but.. but.. It somehow happens to come in only one colour- purple.

PURPLE LEH, OF ALL COLOURS!!! They other 2 that you see are of 2GB and 1GB in capacity respectively. For once I damned CREATIVE, "FUCK! WHY OF ALL COLOURS, PURPLE!!! AND IT'S THE ONLY COLOUR THAT THEY CAME OUT WITH SOMEMORE! GRRRR..."

I lost control of myself already so much so that tears welled up in my eyes. Yes, I teared. Sad lah, of course.. made all the way there and found myself in a position that I totally didn't expect myself to be in at all. Have stock, no choice of colours lah, no stock already lah...

I wanted an MP3 player so badly then. Now when the chance arrives to me, I don't even have a choice to make! Then I started to be naive. I actually agreed to buy a 512MB ZNP at 'Harvey Norman'. Why not right? my choice of capacity, they have an ORANGE model.. but there's one thing I didn't even realize.

The price was $229 when other shops were selling at around $170? Now that's daylight robbery, man. Thanks to Yan who alerted me about this, else I'll be a very regretful guy right now. I may even go into depression. 'cause a difference of $60 means a lot to me. Can you imagine the amount of money I would have lost due to my carelessness? Blame my state of mind then..

Hopes dashed, I was certain fate was telling me that I won't be having my own mp3 player at least till this year ends. But in a flash, everything changed...

I stepped into 'Song Brothers' and asked for a 512MB ZNP. I got a polite rejection. But then came the offer, a 1GB MuVo Chameleon. Isn't that what I've always wanted? Yes, that's absolutely true. And after a little while of consideration, I agreed to it. Pretty fast, eh? But that doesn't mean I'm a bad shopper...It costs me $220. But for 1GB and 10 interchangable colours, it's definitely worth my money. Plus it's the one that attracted my eye, the one I've always wanted. No doubt it's not the latest version but heck! It serves almost the same purpose and period. It satisfies my need, that's all I wanted.

Yes, Fitri's one happy man right now.

And along my way through the mall I saw this fugly-looking thing...

Expecting something else?

It's the Zen Vision:M. When I saw it with my very own eyes, I confessed that that's a hands-down winner of the 'Most Ugliest Design' award.

Just what's wrong with Singapore's stuff? First there as this Tiger Beer ad, featuring Jessica Alba, which I thought as crap and a waste of money. Then came this mp3 player. Just what's next?

I swear the DMC people can do a better job than those professionals out there. I've seen enough talent. I may be naive once more here, but I hold my stand firm.

' cause sometimes, simplicity is the answer of all complexity.

By right the movie 'King Kong' can also be entitled, 'Beauty and the Beast'. I see the impossible happening in the story, a love shared between a human and an ape. Pretty much like the fairytale too, huh?

But with Peter Jackson's admirable talent and creativity, he managed to do so. In fact, he moved my heart and brought tears to my eyes. And I can ensure that it'll have to be a movie of a high standard to make that possible in me... Wan Tong teared, Devon cried, Mich sobbed and Khee Hoon was trying her very best not to cry on her second look at the movie but in the end, her emotions got the better of her. Peter Jackson's just great lah can?

The animation was great, the plot was amazing, the music blended well together. There were scary and unexpected scenes, coupled with a touch of humour every now and then; romantic ones especially when King Kong and Naomi Watts were prancing on ice and of course, touching ones. Not literally though. The last scene whereby King Kong fell to his death from a skyscraper after being weakened by bullets, in slow motion, was THE moment of the movie.

Can I just give this movie a perfect rating here?

Quite macho ah this big guy.

Despite his big and lumbering stature, he's one brave and romantic soul.

This guy's much better than our Ah Bengs. At least he know's how to balance violence and love.

It is, no doubt, one of the best movie of the year. Now I truly believe that we must save the best for the last.

"The bullets didn't kill the beast, beauty did."

Thanks Mr. Jackson. =)

And I feel as if I'm enlisting for NS already. If I fail the VISUAL TEST, I have to take the SOUND TEST.

Now I declare myself as a human and NOT a robot, can? Come, give me the declaration form...
